ACOE’s criteria are now fully in line with those of the UEMS/EACCME.
All applications for live events must be submitted directly via the UEMS online system.
Assessment of your application will be performed by the ACOE Councillors within a delay of five weeks.
ACOE determines the number of CME credit points (ECMECs) awarded to an activity. Basically, one credit point is granted per full educational hour of the scientific programme, with a maximum of 6 ECMEC’s for a full day and 3 ECMEC’s for a half day.
If approved by ACOE, a live event will be awarded the relevant number of credits (ECMECs) via the website of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Association (EACCME) of the UEMS.
The UEMS will inform the CME Provider about the live event’s European endorsement within four weeks following the approval by ACOE. This additional step is needed to ensure the recognition in your home country of the CME credits awarded by ACOE.
