Subscription fees
Both the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) and the National Accreditation Authorities (NAA) of the country where the event takes place, charge subscription fees, calculated prorata the expected number of participants.
The relevant invoice must be paid by the CME Provider to the UEMS so that the UEMS starts processing the accreditation request.
Evaluation fees
ACOE reserves the right to submit the CME provider an evaluation invoice. In accordance with the UEMS / ACOE agreement, the evaluation invoice covers specific ACOE’s administrative tasks and provisions for quality assurance in oncology CME events. These include ongoing support to CME providers in their requests about CME accreditation, updates on ACOE’s website on CME policy developments, ACOE Councillors’ evaluation meetings and random on site visits of accredited events.
The CME provider shall be billed an amount determined via the ACOE’s fee formula, dependent on the minimal expected number of participants* and the average participant’s registration fee to the event. A third of the fee paid by the CME provider (less 50 EUR) upon submission to the UEMS will be deducted from ACOE’s evaluation invoice.
For live events, ACOE’s evaluation fees are calculated on the basis of the following formula:
Fee = 200 Euros + (0.40% x average registration fee x minimal expected no. of participants)
Where no registration fee is charged to participants, a flat fee of 200 EUR is adopted.
Applications from member societies of the European Cancer Organisation receive a 50% discount.
*The minimal expected number of participants corresponds to the lower value of the UEMS / EACCME scale indicated by the CME organiser, e.g.:
