The course addresses the key areas underpinning the management of civil society organisations (CSOs), within the context of cancer control, with the aim to support cancer control leaders and managers adopting practices that can help their organisations’ sustainability and effectiveness. The course provides participants with an understanding of the principles, structures and strategies cancer CSOs can adopt to better organise themselves and become more effective and sustainable; it offers participants different perspectives on how CEOs and managers have tackled management and organisational challenges specific to cancer organisations; it provides a space for participants to reflect on their organisations’ strengths and weaknesses; and it exposes them to tools and practices for organisational strengthening.
