The European Society of Pathology (ESP) is launching a new online educational tool, the Kansas Histopathology Cases (KHC). The name is a tribute to the group from the University of Kansas that provided the material to create this tool. KHC includes 10 rounds of rare and/or difficult cases in pathology, each round with 5 cases. Participants receive the cases of the each round in the form of digitally scanned histopathology Haematoxylin-Eosin slides and are expected to provide their diagnosis on them, without access to Immunohistochemistry or molecular data. At the end of each round the participants receive the correct diagnosis of the cases and also a handout for further study. Each round includes at least 1 hour of study, including the preparation for providing a diagnosis for the 5 cases and the study of the material after the end of the round. it is a very challenging task, aimed to train pathologists with advanced diagnostic skills.
