Online Course on Multidisciplinary management of patients with Upper GI malignancies

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the multidisciplinary management of upper gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies, covering the entire patient journey from diagnosis to outcome measurement. Participants will gain knowledge in preoperative care, including diagnostic work-up, frailty assessment, prehabilitation, and perioperative cancer therapies; operative management with a focus on surgical anatomy and technique; and postoperative care addressing ERAS protocols, quality of life, and outcome evaluation. Through a blend of state-of-the-art lectures, interactive surgical workshops, and case-based discussions, the course fosters collaboration across specialties and is designed for surgical residents nearing completion of training, surgical oncologists, general surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, geriatricians, nutritionists, and rehabilitators.
