How it works - Live Event Accreditation

1. The online application form

ACOE’s criteria are fully aligned with the Criteria for Live Educational Events

All applications for live events must be submitted directly through the EACCME portal.

As one of the UEMS European Specialty Accreditation Boards (ESAB), ACOE is responsible for conducting the scientific specialist review of your application in the field of oncology.

ACOE determines the number of CME credit points (ECMECs) awarded to an activity. In line with EACCME® principles, 0.5 ECMEC is granted per 30 minutes of educational activity, with each additional half hour also receiving 0.5 ECMEC, up to a maximum of 8 ECMECs per day for a live educational event.

If approved by ACOE, a live event will be awarded the relevant number of credits (ECMECs) through the EACCME portal

Following ACOE approval, the UEMS will inform the CME provider of the event’s endorsement. This ensures recognition of the CME credits awarded by ACOE at the national level.
